It’s about 65 hours until the start of the baseball postseason. And MLB can’t even tell its fans when games will be played.
The league released some of the playoff schedule tonight. The problem is that there’s an apparent quirky rule now that the No. 1 overall team gets to select whether it wants a seven-day or eight-day LDS series. In this case, it’s the Yankees. And they can wait to see who wins the Twins-Tigers game on Tuesday, which won’t be decided until around 7 p.m. CDT on Tuesday.
Just set the damn schedule. If you set it far enough in advance, people have time to adjust their schedules to watch the game. If you wait until 18 hours before the playoffs start, then you most likely will lose fans.
